✸shopping small is a radical act✸
Shopping Small is important.
Shopping Small is political.
Shopping Small is a radical act.
Under a capitalist system, our true vote is with our dollar.
It’s never been more important to stop giving our money to corporations- that buy our government officials; that poison our ecosystems; that have been price gouging us for the past 3 years; that steal designs and ideas from artists, Indigenous culture, Black culture, Queer culture; that don’t care about you at all.
Small businesses circulate the majority of their income into their local communities (over 60%). Small businesses provide 64% of jobs. Shopping local has a ripple effect.
According to a survey this year, small businesses donate 250% MORE to community and charity causes than larger businesses, and 75% of small businesses donate an average of 6% of their profits.
Every order to a small businesses is a beacon, a labor of love. Every order is a real person, not just a number rolled up in the abyss of a shareholder report.
Every order goes to a grocery bill, school supplies, heating a home, making a life— not a billionaire’s yacht.
If you’re shopping this holiday season, please support small businesses and artists.
We love you and are so grateful for you.
